Part III. Attendance, Curriculum ctc. in Subsidized Schools.
Schools shall obscrvo all regulations made from time
to time under the Education Ordinance.
§ 31.
Schools must be open at all reasonable times to inspection
with or without notice by any officer authorised by Government.
§ 32. No child shall be refused admission on other than
reasonable grounds.
§ 33. Schools shall provide in whole or in part a primary
course approved by the Director of Education. They may provide
in addition a middle school course approved by the Director, but
in no case will a subsidy be paid in respect of higher standards
except to schools providing all the lower standards leading up
to them.
§ 34.
No urban school shall be eligible for subsidy whose
average attendance for the period in respect of which a subsidy
is claimed was loss than 20.
§ 35.
In each school thore shall be a head teacher responsible
for supervising the teaching and maintaining discipline in the
school.
§ 36. The correspondent shall provide suitable attendance
registers and such other books or record and account as the
Director of Education may from time to time prescribe. He shall
sco that they are regularly, promptly and accurately kept, and
submitted to the Director together with any other prescribed
returns at such place and at such intervals as the Director
may decide.
§ 37.
A school shall moot regularly every day except for
the customary vacations and holidays approved in advance by
the Director of Education; provided that if the school has been
compulsorily closed by lawful authority or has otherwise failed
for whatever cause to meet without obtaining the Director's
permission in advance and reports the circumstances to the
